EPC/EPC-M – COMPLEX SUPPLIES OF CAPITAL EQUIPMENTS

As a general designer, we are responsible for project management, elaboration of design documentation in the technical professions offered i.e. Process Technology, Mechanical, Pipeline, Civil, I&C and Electrical parts. And also for the implementation of complex automated systems for the control of continuous and discontinuous technological processes, usually consisting of a distributed control system DCS, ESD safety system for emergency shutdown. Alternatively, programmable logic controllers PLC and operator workstations with SCADA / HMI type applications, including the programming of application software, design and manufacture of switchboard cabinets.

As a general contractor in investment construction, we are responsible for the delivery of materials and equipment, including the provision of all related engineering works on site, such as installation, erection, author's supervision, commissioning and start-up of the units including performance of guarantee tests. The services and activities are completed by an offer of pre-project planning (PPP) and engineering and technical advisory services. All and any processed projects are performed in compliance with contractually defined standards (e.g. ČSN, ANSI, DIN, ISO, IEC, GOST and others).

Implementation of projects on the „turn-key“ basis, i.e. on the basis of EPC or EPC-M contracts. The EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) or EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction - Management) forms enable the arrangement of complex implementation of the project from the initial intention up to the operation of the equipment within a fixed schedule, a fixed price and according to a precisely defined scope of supply.

As a general contractor, UNIS can provide a complex package of services from a single source, including the support of the customer in securing financing of the projects’ implementation.

• Taking over the responsibility for Engineering, Procurement and Construction from within a single source, thus releasing the capable hands of the Client’s management team for efficient execution of their core business activities,
• Complex solution of the Project’s Requirements (role of the General Designer),
• Transfer of schedular and financial risks (a fixed price) to the Contractor,
• Flexibility and significant reduction of time from the initial intention to start-up,

• Use of engineering abilities that the client does not have in its common activities,
• Co-ordination of all the processes in the course of the project as critical for fulfilment of time and financial parameters of realisation (Function of a General Contractor).
• Long-term experience in co-operation with global licensors (Axens, UOP, GTC, KBR) in case of implementation of capital construction in the oil processing industry.
